General Services

 

The Massapequa Library strives to provide a full range of services and resources to meet the needs of all who live and work in the Massapequa community. Our collection includes many varieties of materials including books, magazines, large print books, reference materials, books-on-tape, audio cassettes, CD’s, videocassettes, DVD's, and CD-ROM’s for children. If the Massapequa collection does not include the item you need, efforts will be made to obtain it from another library.

We offer full automated service with our On-line Public Access Catalog (OPAC) that provides patrons with listings of
available materials not only in Massapequa but all of Nassau County.

Adult and family programs are presented on a regularly scheduled basis year-round. Lectures, workshops, concerts and many other events are planned for your enjoyment and announced well in advance. Bus trips are planned to many interesting and exciting places.

Many special children’s programs, including story hours, are planned during the year to educate and entertain youngsters of all ages. Contact the library for more information. Visit the Children’s Room and become acquainted with all its treasures.
